The upcoming film Binny And Family has been making noise in the industry. It has got an unanimously positive response in the test screenings and from various film personalities. As the film releases in cinemas on September 27, viewers will see a record long list of people thanked in the opening slate. A few names that stand out are Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rajkumar Hirani and Sooraj Barjatya, among others.

Bollywood Hungama has learned why these eminent personalities have been named under ‘Special Thanks’. A source told us, “Binny And Family is a film under the Newcomers’ Initiative. Akshay Kumar has been a big supporter of this initiative from the first day and even tweeted about it during its launch. Hence, the makers knew that he had to be mentioned for his contribution to the cause.”
The source continued, “Aamir Khan gave creative inputs to the script of Binny And Family. He also whole-heartedly supports Newcomers’ Initiative and he also gave valuable tips on how to make the initiative better.”
The source further said, “As for Rajkumar Hirani, he’s a man with a golden heart. If you know him, then he’ll always be there for you and he has stood like a rock as a support to the team of Binny And Family. Sanjay Leela Bhansali holds a special place in the heart of producer Mahaveer Jain as the latter began his film journey with the former on a short film. Finally, Sooraj Barjatya, too, has always given his blessings and good wishes to the film’s makers and team. Binny And Family marks the debut of Varun Dhawan’s niece, Anjini Dhawan. It also stars Pankaj Kapur, Himani Shivpuri, Rajesh Kumar, Naman Tripaathy and Charu Shankar and is written and directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy. It is produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and Wavebrand Productions and presented by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, Shashank Khaitan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Binny And Family releases in cinemas on September 27.
