Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has a massive fan following for his undeniable charm, fitness, and acting prowess. However, his recent pairing with a much younger actress in a film has sparked discussions about the age gap. And the latest actress to join the list is Radhikka Madan in Sarfira. For the unversed, Radhikka is 27 years younger than 56-year-old Akshay.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Radhika Madan opened up about the reactions to her on-screen romance with Akshay Kumar. While acknowledging the initial wave of comments and criticisms upon the film’s trailer release, she stated that the narrative effectively addresses the age gap.
She said, “We did get a lot of such comments when the trailer was released, but as soon as the film was released, it changed. Because if you see the film, everything is addressed. It’s not only about an older actor romancing a young actress. The film goes beyond that. My opening team addresses the fact that he is much older than me, my parents are against it. When I visited him in his village… The relationship was not superficial. It was way deeper because they both are fighting for their own dreams.”
This is not the first time that Akshay’s young co-actor has come forward to extend their support to him. Previously, Manushi Chhillar, who is 30 years younger to Akshay, had also reacted to the debate. During promotions of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Manushi, in a conversation with Zoom, said, “Working with a superstar is good. You get a certain amount of visibility. If I talk about my first film, there was an age gap. They wanted to play the whole thing. In this film, there was no pairing. We did songs for marketing.”
