Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has been waiting to get the compensation of Rs 5 lakh as ordered in the Asit Modi sexual harassment case. The actress, who has been recovering from a personal loss, is now tired of waiting for the compensation and charge sheet which has not been filed in the FIR filed at Powai police station.
When contacted Jennifer said, “It has been four months since the order has been passed but compensation has not been given to me.Frankly speaking I want to move on with my life as it is my guru has told me to now just go with the flow which I have now decided to do.”
Jennifer is quite frustrated with the non-seriousness behavior towards her case. She said, “I have been visiting the police station and they keep making lame excuses like they were busy with President Droupadi Murmu and the other they said they were busy in a stone pelting incident.”
Jennifer adds, “I have written to the Prime Minister’s office, the home minister, the commissioner of police, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and National Commission for Women. Prime minister’s office has acknowledged but I got a reply from the National commission for women’s office stating that the case does not fall under their jurisdiction. Strangely, a sexual harassment case is not in their jurisdiction.”
Jennifer wants to return to work now but says, “They have defamed me so much that people are scared to work with me. Also now I want to not think about the compensation if it has to come it will… I just want to go with the flow… Life takes me.”
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, famous for portraying the former Roshan Sodhi in “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” made headlines by alleging workplace sexual harassment against the show’s producer, Asit Kumar Modi last year. She accused Modi of inappropriate advances and uncomfortable behavior during her tenure on the show. This revelation has sparked widespread concern and discussion within the industry.
