Hyderabad-based Fatima, a beautician, was shocked when her ‘five-star rating’ on app platform Urban Company dropped to two in February this year. Dealing with a messy divorce had left her juggling court dates and lawyers, besides the responsibility of three children. “I could not take on as much work as I usually did in a month,” the 26-year-old says.
