Former Minister and YSR Congress Party leader Jogi Ramesh appeared before the Crime Investigation Department (CID), in Vijayawada on Friday.
Responding to a notice served on him, Mr. Ramesh presented himself for investigation of a case before the CID officials.
The case related to the attack on former Leader of the Opposition and now Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s residence at Undavalli in 2021.
A group of YSRCP leaders staged a protest in front of Mr. Naidu’s house on October 19, 2021, when the incident reportedly occurred.
The Tadepalli police registered a case, which was later transferred to the CID.
Speaking to the media later, Mr. Ramesh said the TDP government was trying to threaten YSRCP leaders by foisting false cases.
“I went to Mr. Naidu’s house in 2021, for staging a protest. TDP activists damaged my vehicle and in turn filed a case against me,” he alleged.
