The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has received a bounty of ₹2,038.42 crore by way of property tax in the financial year 2024-25, which is a record collection so far. It is marginally higher than the previous year’s collection of ₹1,917 crore.
In keeping with its record, Khairatabad zone garnered most of the revenue, at over ₹530 crore, followed by Serilingampally zone which collected close to ₹448 crore. Kukatpally stood third with over ₹331 crore, followed by Secunderabad at ₹292 crore, and LB Nagar at ₹287 crore.
Charminar zone had the lowest collection at ₹150.44 crore, as per the information given by the GHMC authorities.
Among circles, Serilingampally topped in collections which stood at over ₹288 crore, followed by Jubilee Hills at ₹191 crore and Khairatabad at ₹174 crore.
