Eimi Gloria Matsudo, better known by her ring name Giulia recently triumphed the NXT Women’s Championship title by fighting against Roxanne Perez at NXT New Year’s Evil 2025. This victory has not been long enough and we already see a potential top contender for the title match. During the first live event by NXT in 2025, we saw one rising star defeat all the others in a Royal Rumble match. This NXT wrestler is the current threat to the newly-crowned champion, Giulia.

Giulia’s Reign At Risk?
The recently acquired NXT Women’s Championship title by Giulia is already on a rocky road since the top challenger for this title has been determined. During the first NXT live event of 2025, a Royal Rumble match was set to decide the one worthy of contending for the title. Regardless of a stacked match card with names like Stephanie Vaquer, Nikkita Lyons and Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice bagged the victory.
Things took an unexpected turn when the NXT champion appeared on stage to stand in front of the winner. Giulia eyed intensely on Vice after her victory to show her dominance as the NXT champion. There have been no official confirmations where Vice is going to face Giulia yet however, Vice has definitely earned a shot to go against Giulia by standing victorious in the Royal Rumble match. Since this took place in a live event, we are expecting the title match to be a live event too.
One more victory of the event was for the NXT North American Women’s Championship, where Fallon Henley defeated Gigi Dolin in a brutal match. The number one contender for this title is Stephanie Vaquer, who recently defeated Kelani Jordan, Cora Jade, and Lola Vice. Fans have been intrigued by the recent turn of events and rooting for the title matches to happen soon.
