JAIPUR: Rajasthan Police‘s Special Operations Group (SOG) Friday arrested a 30-year-old librarian from Govt Senior Secondary School in Sanchore over his alleged involvement in the fake degree racket. The accused, Manohar Lal Vishnoi, allegedly facilitated the acquisition of a forged degree from a Chittorgarh-based private university for a candidate, ADGP (SOG) V K Singh said.The arrest was made by SOG‘s Ajmer unit, led by Additional SP (SOG) Ajmer Mukesh Soni.
Vishnoi’s involvement came to light during the probe of previously arrested suspects Kamla Kumari and her brother Dalpat Singh, who had obtained a fake MA (Hindi) degree from Mewar University, a Chittorgarh-based private institution. Officials said the accused took money from Kumari to help her get the degree.
The case traces back to March when Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) filed an FIR, leading to the arrest of two women – Brahma Kumari from Jalore and Kamla Kumari from Sanchore. Both had submitted forged degrees for the school lecturer (Hindi) recruitment exam 2022.
