GUNTUR: Noted homeopathic physician, Dr OV Ramana, was felicitated with the Vaidya Bhushan award by the Hyderabad-based All the Best Arts Academy.
Telangana state human rights commission (SHRC) chairman and former high court judge, justice Dr G Chandraiah, presented the award at a glittering function held at Sundaiah Kalanilayam. All the Best Arts Academy founding President, Dr ESS Narayana, and General Secretary EST Subranth were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, justice Dr G Chandraiah appreciated the services of Dr OV Ramana. He said that Dr Ramana is a multifaceted personality who has extended his selfless services to society for the past three decades.
He noted that it was heartening to see Dr Ramana also managing a temple and an old age home, along with taking up several charity activities.
The founding president of the academy, Dr ESS Narayana, said that Dr Ramana has been a down-to-earth person despite being a family physician for several IAS, IPS officers, and industrialists.
He mentioned that Dr Ramana’s services were particularly exemplary as he trusted in Manava Seve Madhava Seva and was associated with spiritual organisations.
Dr Ramana thanked the organisers for selecting him for the prestigious award. He said that the Vaidya Bhushan award enhanced his responsibility to serve society.
He expressed that he always believed in the principle ‘we reap what we sow’ and continued charity activities with the support of friends and well-wishers.
