Time and again Elon Musk has found himself yet another amidst controversy! And this time, it’s regarding his alleged 13th baby!
Ashley St. Clair, a 26-year-old MAGA author and columnist, took the internet by storm when she claimed that she had given birth to a baby whose father is none other than Elon Musk. The influencer took to X (formerly, Twitter) and posted an announcement saying that she and Musk, 53, have a child together. She wrote in the post, “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.” She added, “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.” Her post was captioned by the Latin phrase, “Alea Iacta Est,” meaning “The die is cast.”
Although Elon hasn’t confirmed whether or not he is the father of St. Clair’s baby as she alleged, he has given his first reaction to her claim. While the Tesla CEO hasn’t directly addressed the matter, he has reacted to a post where Ashley said about ‘need it to get Elon Musk’s attention for a marriage proposal.’ Musk has reacted to a post shared by a user named MILO, who posted a screenshot of an old comment from Ashley. In the comment, Ashley had jokingly said, “I need it to get Elon Musk’s attention for a marriage proposal”. She further added, “Well he actually has 7 kids and goes through women pretty fast.” The post shared by MILO captioned, “Ashley St Clair plotted for half a decade to ensnare Elon Musk”. Responding to this post, Musk wrote, “Woah.” Not only this, Ashley also left a reply to Elon Musk’s comment. Although she deleted her comment, several users have shared a screenshot of what she wrote. Ashley had said, “Elon, We have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not yet responded. When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?”
But how did Musk meet St. Clair?
The love affair:
St. Clair had publicly interacted with Musk before the announcement. Before revealing her alleged connection to Musk, St. Clair engaged in public exchanges with him on X. Their interactions included playful banter about “pulling out” and “how babies are made.” She kept her pregnancy largely private, limiting her on-camera appearances last year to tightly cropped shots and avoiding public events for several months. However, after giving birth, she remained well-known in Maga circles and even attended Donald Trump’s election night party at Mar-a-Lago.
However, that’s not all. In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, St. Clair revealed that Musk “slid into my DM’s.” Ashley said she didn’t have “much interest” in Elon, but upon interacting with the X owner on his newly acquired platform, she found him “very funny, down-to-earth.”
In her words, “Musk was very funny. He was smart. He was very down to earth. It started with X interactions and he slid into my DM’s. I think it was a meme.” At the time, Ashley said she “didn’t particularly have much interest in Elon” other than his acquisition of Twitter.
As per Ashley, when Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion in 2022 and renamed it ‘X’, the two first crossed paths there in May 2023.
Ashley told the New York Post that Elon had asked her if she was “ever in San Francisco”, to which she replied that she shuffles between Austin and Texas for work. She claimed that she was asked to fly to San Francisco in the next 48 hours by her then-CEO Seth Dillon a short time later. That’s when she first met Elon Musk at Twitter’s headquarters.
At the time, she was 24 and Musk was 51.
Ashley revealed during the interview, “After the interview, I got a text from him saying “Feel like going to Providence [Rhode Island] tonight?” The alleged romance between the two blossomed from there, she claimed, until she became pregnant.
The ‘secret’ pregnancy:
Ashley said Elon Musk wanted to keep their baby a secret for everyone’s safety. She told the New York Post that she was restricted from telling more than a close-knit circle of people that she was even carrying a child. As per Ashley’s claim, “I was told to keep it secret. I was being asked to keep it a secret forever. I was completely isolated during my pregnancy. Every part of my career and everything I used to do I couldn’t do anymore. I was told not to tell anybody.” Furthermore, Ashley declined to provide a reason for the confidentiality or any material proof that Elon Musk is the biological father of her child.
However, Ashley claimed that she was forced to reveal about mothering Elon Musk’s child 5 months later, due to prying tabloid reporters. As per her statement posted on X, “It is very hard to understate how much I am processing right now. I am sad that my hand was forced by the media to do this now. But there is also a sense of relief because I have been forced to live in secrecy for almost a year of my life. I cannot explain the kind of primary pain you feel as a mother and you’re talking to people and they ask you about the one kid, and you have to lie and carry this burden and secret. You have to lie to people you love.”
Although the pregnancy was kept a secret, according to StreetEasy, Musk allegedly provided her with a lavish apartment in the Financial District — where rent for a two-bedroom can soar to nearly $40,000, along with a hefty security detail.
