Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan recently shared candid insights into his experience with War 2, the much-anticipated sequel in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. Speaking at a special screening event in Atlanta hosted by Radio Nasha, the actor reflected on initial doubts about the film’s outcome and his upcoming collaboration with Telugu superstar Jr NTR.

Overcoming Doubts About War 2
Hrithik, who reprises his role as the suave spy Kabir, admitted to feeling apprehensive about how War 2 would shape up. “I was genuinely afraid of how it would turn out,” he confessed during the Atlanta event, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Despite those early jitters, his confidence has soared as the project nears its finish line. “I’m extremely proud of what we’ve created. It’s going to be bigger and better than the first War,” he assured the audience, promising a sequel that outshines its 2019 predecessor.
A Dance Face-Off with Jr NTR
The actor’s excitement was palpable when he spoke about the film’s final pending shoot—a high-energy song sequence with Jr NTR, who marks his Bollywood debut as the antagonist. “We’ve got just one song left to film with Jr NTR, and I’m nervous—he’s simply amazing,” Hrithik said, hinting at the challenge of matching the RRR star’s dance prowess. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 has already wrapped most of its principal photography, leaving this musical showdown as the last piece of the puzzle. Hrithik, recovering from a recent leg injury, plans to shoot the sequence upon his return to Mumbai, jokingly adding, “I hope my leg holds up!”
From Atlanta to Mumbai: A Journey of Pride
The Atlanta event, attended by enthusiastic fans, doubled as a nostalgic tribute to Hrithik’s cinematic journey and a teaser for War 2’s grandeur. Clad in a casual green jacket and cap, the 51-year-old star exuded charm as he interacted with the crowd, even playfully dodging a question about choosing between War 2 and Dhoom 2. “Let’s go with War 2—it’s coming soon, and I’m prepping for that big dance number,” he quipped.
With War 2 poised to pit Hrithik’s Kabir against Jr NTR’s formidable villain, the film promises a blend of high-octane action and electrifying dance moves. It will also feature Kiara Advani in the lead and is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025.
