Hukus Bukus is a story of a father and son with the backdrop of cricket. The story takes place in Kashmir where Arjun (Darsheel Safary) stays with his father Pandit Radheshyam (Arun Govil). Arjun is in love with cricket and he aspires to be a cricketer. Like most cricket fans… in India, he worships Sachin Tendulkar. However, Radheshyam doesn’t support Arjun’s dream of becoming a cricketer because of a past experience he had when he had gone to watch a match between India and West Indies. Arjun and Radheshyam’s life takes a tragic turn when riots break out in Kashmir and they are forced to flee. When Radheshyam returns to Kashmir after 10 years, he is surprised to see that his house is standing as it is. However, he gets a shock to know that his land has been taken over by a politician to build a mall. Radheshyam’s efforts of getting back his land turn to be futile. Now, the responsibility of getting back the land falls upon Arjun’s cricketing skills. Whether Arjun succeeds forms the rest of the film.
