West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged junior doctors to return to work

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday pleaded with the junior doctors to return to work saying, “Seniors won’t be able to work without you.” Amid deadlock over talks to end a work boycott by junior doctors who are protesting against the rape-murder of a trainee doctor in a state-run hospital in Kolkata, the TMC supremo further said, “I could not sleep the whole night because you all slept on the road.”

She further assured that no steps would be taken against any doctor over the work boycott. “I assure you that I will study your demands, take action if someone is found guilty,” the West Bengal CM added.
