Continuous heavy rain triggered widespread flooding, road damage, and landslide threats across Kannur district, bringing normal life to a standstill. Key roads, houses, and public infrastructure were severely affected.

At Sreekandapuram, a section of the approach road near Chempanthotty Pallam bridge was washed away following water intrusion, partially disrupting traffic on the Sreekandapuram-Chempanthotty-Naduvil route. Vehicles were diverted via Karayathumchal and Chemberi.

Low-lying areas along Irikkur and Vanchiyam rivers were submerged, with rising water levels reported in Sreekandapuram and Chemgala rivers.

A landslide in interior Karnataka led to flooding at Vannayikadavu bridge that connects Payyavoor and Eruveshi panchayat.

At Pariyaram, the Alakiyam stream overflowed, causing waterlogging on Kulappuram road and bridge. Residents blamed the national highway construction and soil filling in the stream for the flooding.

As many as 25 houses were flooded at Ambalathara in Payyannur.
