India Women registered its second-highest ODI score at home during the first match against West Indies at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday.
The team smacked 314 for nine in the first innings, falling short of its highest of 325 for three against South Africa earlier this year in Bengaluru.

After being put to bat, openers Smriti Mandhana and debutant Pratika Rawal put up a 110-run first-wicket partnership. En route to smashing 91 runs, Smriti broke the record for the most international runs in a year in women’s cricket.
The left-handed batter also stitched a 50-run partnership with Harleen Deol before being dismissed by Zaida James, who went on to pick four more for West Indies, ending with figures of five for 45.
Harmanpreet Kaur (34), Jemimah Rodrigues (31) and Richa Ghosh (26) contributed to India’s final score, helping it set a competitive target of 315.
This is also India’s second-highest WODI total against West Indies.
