In a bid to promote the heritage, art, and culture of Rajasthan, the Public Arts Trust of India (PATI) hosted a grand event “Jodhpur Arts Week: Special Projects Edition 2024.” This special edition, which began on October 15 concluded today. The event took place at historic sites within Jodhpur’s Walled City, including Toorji Ka Jhalra (Stepwell) and the Clock Tower.It was organised in collaboration with the Jodhpur Development Authority (JDA), Jodhpur Municipal Corporation, and the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. International organisations such as the British Council, DAATA Art, Frozen Music, LOEWE Foundation, and Jaipur Rugs are also joining forces for this event.

Curated by art entrepreneur Sana Rezwan of PATI, this edition featured a dynamic mix of exhibitions and site-specific installations by internationally renowned artists such as Liz West, Hetain Patel, Rosalind Nashashibi, Wood and Harrison, Deborah Fischer, Erez Nevi Pana, and Petra Cortright. In addition, students from local schools including Mahatma Gandhi Government School Mandi, Chhaganraj Chopasniwala Government School, Kotwali School, Mahatma Gandhi Huveson Mandi Girls School, and Rajkiya Balika Senior Secondary School also participated in the event. The seven-day program featured talk shows, seminars, exhibitions, and cultural performances, focusing on various aspects of art and culture. The event aimed to foster an exchange of ideas and creativity, blending Rajasthan’s rich heritage with contemporary artistic expression.
