The chances of Manolo Marquez’s FC Goa winning the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Shield is extremely slim but not mathematically impossible.

To win the Shield, the Gaurs (currently second with 39 points) will need to win all their remaining four fixtures (against Kerala Blasters, Punjab FC, Mohammedan SC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant) to overtake MBSG’s current tally of 49.

However, only winning their own matches will not be enough. Goa would need the Mariners to lose all their remaining three fixtures (against Odisha FC, Mumbai City FC and FC Goa).

If the Mariners pick up even a point in their next three matches, they will defend their Shield.

If Goa wins all games till the last one and Mohun Bagan loses all, then Mohun Bagan vs Goa on March 8 will be the title decider.

FC Goa remaining fixtures (Current points tally – 39)

vs Kerala Blasters – Feb 22

vs Punjab FC – Feb 27

vs Mohammedan SC – March 4

vs Mohun Bagan – March 8
