JAMSHEDPUR: The Steel City boy, who supported his family by running a roadside mobile accessory stall with his brother at the Sakchi market, scripted a success story by clearing the NEET-UG 2025.Demonstrating resilience and hard work, Rohit secured 549 marks and AIR-12484 on his second attempt. He had scored 485 marks in his first attempt in 2024.It wasn’t an easy path to success. Rohit studied 14 hours a day to achieve his dream of becoming a doctor. Rohit said, “I was part of Yakeen 2.0 batch at Alakh sir’s PhysicsWallah. Along with explaining lessons, he instilled courage in us to dream big.”Calling his elder brother his mentor, Rohit said, ” Brother motivated me to dream big and work hard to achieve it.” Rohit’s father is a vegetable seller, while mother is a homemaker. Covid forced him to work at a medical store to make ends meet after Class 10. This acted as a blessing in disguise as it sparked his interest in medicine. He opted for PCB for intermediate, studying late night while managing the store by day, and topped his board. Rohit learned about NEET from his brother. He self-studied using YouTube in his first attempt. Determined to do better, he left his joband concentrated on turning his dream into a reality.
