WWE and Hollywood superstar, John Cena has decided to hang up his wrestling boots after 2025. He announced this decision of his, at the Money in the Bank PLE earlier this year. After that, “The Champ” also announced a “farewell tour” that he is going to be a part of to conclude his illustrious 2 and a half decade career in WWE. Now, WWE has confirmed that Cena will be available for the whole of 2025 in his farewell tour and will be a part of several foreign tours and big PLE’s.

WWE EVP Chris Legentil has stated that Cena is willing to be available for one full year during his farewell tour, after which he will retire from WWE for good. The speculations are rife about Cena being handed one last World Championship, as a tribute to the Hollywood megastar who has a record 16 World Titles in the biggest wrestling promotion of the world. While Cena confirmed about his farewell tour earlier this year, which PLE or RAW episode John is going to be coming back on, is yet to be decided. Rumours are high that he will be a part of the 2025 Royal Rumble and might even win it the third time in his career.

“John Cena, as you might know, he is going on his farewell tour. But he’s going out on his own terms. He’s going to do a full year-long tour with us and that’s going to be worldwide. We think that the opportunity for the people to see John Cena one last time all around the world, is going to be quite powerful.” Said Legentil, while talking about Cena’s last tenure in WWE, as a part of a retirement tour in the company. Now this development increases the chances of Cena winning a record 17th WWE World Title, during his farewell tour this year.
