The Karnataka minister alleged that the BJP is exploiting the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya just like they exploited the ‘Pulwama attacks’ in the previous elections.

Congress leader and Karnataka Minister, D Sudhakar, on Sunday, sparked a row after he accused the BJP-led central government of using Ayodhya’s Ram Temple for its electoral gains ahead of the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls and termed it a ‘political stunt’.

The Karnataka minister further alleged that the saffron party is exploiting the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya just like they exploited the ‘Pulwama attacks’ in the previous elections.

“The BJP government used the Pulwama terror attack to secure votes in the previous Lok Sabha polls, and this time, they are holding Lord Ram’s photo now,” the Karnataka Minister said while speaking to media in Chitradurga.

“The inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir is a stunt. People are not fools. I am confident that we won’t be fooled again,” he added.

Emphasising that Lord Ram does not belong to an individual or any single political party, Sudhakar said that the temple’s inauguration is just a ‘political stunt’ by the BJP ahead of the elections.

In February 2019, forty personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district when their convoy was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber.
