Kerala Blasters announced the signing of young goalkeeper Arsh Anwer Shaikh, who joins the Indian Super League (ISL) outfit on a three-year contract, on Saturday.
The ‘keeper joins the Blasters from Mohun Bagan Super Giant, where he featured in 12 matches across domestic and continental competitions, including the Indian Super League, Durand Cup, Super Cup and AFC Cup.
“I’m really happy to join Kerala Blasters FC. This club is from a place where football is loved deeply and I have always seen how passionate the fans are. I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my career. I believe this is the right environment for me to learn, gain more experience and grow as a player. I will work hard every day and give my best to help the team in any way I can,” the boy from Chhattisgarh said.
Arsh is the Blasters’ second official signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrival of Amey Ranawade.
Kerala Blasters finished eighth in the 2024-25 ISL points table and failed to make the playoffs. Ahead of the 2025 Super Cup, David Catala was named as the side’s newest coach. The Spaniard led it to a first round win over the then defending champion in East Bengal but bowed out in the second round after a loss to Mohun Bagan.
