The body of the second-year respiratory medicine trainee was discovered in a seminar hall at the hospital on August 9.Initial reports indicated severe injuries, including strangulation and sexual assault. The victim’s body was found semi-nude, with blood stains and a broken collarbone, raising concerns about the brutal nature of the crime.
Police have arrested a suspect, an outsider with access to hospital facilities, who is believed to be directly involved in the crime. The authorities are continuing their investigation and have questioned two intern doctors in connection with the case.
The autopsy has confirmed that the doctor was sexually assaulted before being killed, intensifying calls for justice.
