NEW DELHI: CBI on Saturday arrested ex-principal of RG Kar medical college Sandip Ghosh and a policeman in the rape-murder of the PG trainee doctor in Kolkata’ RG Kar hospital. The former principal was arrested for rape-murder of young PG trainee doctor, while the former officer in charge Abhijit Mondal was arrested for destruction of evidence.
The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of delays and cover-ups.Earlier this month, a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court remanded Sandip Ghosh and three others to judicial custody till September 23 in a financial irregularities case.
