Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya rurned out to be a success at the box office. Fans adored the romance drama and are eagerly awaiting its sequel. Recently, Kriti confirmed that a sequel is in the works.
Kriti Sanon confirms sequel plans for Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Shahid Kapoor
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Kriti Sanon was asked if she planned to work with Shahid Kapoor again after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. In response, the actress disclosed that the script for the sequel to TBMAUJ was in the works. She said, “The sequel for Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is currently being written. We’re both eager for it to happen soon.” The robot rom-com features a stellar ensemble cast, including legendary actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia.
The plot revolves around Aryan Agnihotri, a handsome, intelligent robotics engineer from Delhi who lives in Mumbai. Following in the footsteps of his workaholic aunt, played by Dimple Kapadia, Aryan travels to Los Angeles and meets Sifra, played by Kriti Sanon. Sifra, unbeknownst to Aryan, is a humanoid robot. As their love story progresses, it takes several twists and turns, challenging the fundamental basis of human-robot interactions.
On the other hand, Kriti Sanon and Dhanush will be working together for the first time in Aanand L Rai’s next film Tere Ishk Mein. Both performers have previously worked with the filmmaker on other projects. Pinkvilla reported that the film will be an AR Rahman musical, with Irshad Kamil writing the lyrics.
A source disclosed to Pinkvilla, “Kriti Sanon heard the narration from Aanand L Rai a couple of months back and has shown interest to get into the world of this action love story. The story aside, the actress has also liked her character’s arc and the way it transforms in the story. She has given a verbal yes to the film in the meeting today, however, the paperwork is expected to take place in a fortnight.” The actress also reportedly met with Aanand L Rai today to discuss the movie.
