THANE: A 40 year old labour died after an accident after falling into a stone crusher machine at Naglabunder area of Ghodbunder road.
The deceased has been identified as Bhalbhadra Yadav, a resident of a nearby labour camp.
The police said that on Wednesday at around 9 am, he went to his usual work and while working on the machine, he accidentally fell into the machine and was crushed to death.
Yadav is survived by four children and a wife, said the police officer.
He was rushed to a private hospital for medical treatment but was declared dead.
The police said that they have booked the owner of the machine without providing the necessary safety equipment. A case has been registered under the section 304-a of the Indian penal code and further probe is underway and no arrests have been made in the case.
