Lieutenant General PK Mishra assumed command of the Jammu-based White Knight Corps, relieving Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva. The Corps Commander emphasized maintaining operational excellence and promoting peace and stability, while overseeing the crucial Line of Control from Akhnoor to Poonch and the surrounding hinterlands.

JAMMU: Lieutenant General PK Mishra on Tuesday took over as new the General-Officer-Commanding of Jammu-based White Knight Corps, also known as XVI Corps.
“Lt Gen PK Mishra, took over the Command of @Whiteknight_IA from Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva,” Colonel Suneel Bartwal, PRO (Defence) at Jammu, posted on X.
“The Corps Commander urged all ranks to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and continue fostering peace and stability in the region,” the post added.
The White Knight Corps of the Indian Army has the responsibility of guarding the strategic and sensitive Line of Control (LoC) — from Akhnoor in Jammu district to Poonch, south of Pir Panjal range — besides looking after the hinterland falling under its jurisdiction.
