Sharvari is clearly the flavour of the season. Her horror comedy Munjya is the sleeper super hit of the year. Maharaj, which dropped on Netflix amid a lot of controversies, has got a healthy viewership. And last week, Yash Raj Films revealed the title of her spy universe film co-starring Alia Bhatt – Alpha. Hence, Sharvari was on cloud nine at the success press conference of Maharaj.
Maharaj success press conference: Sharvari says that working with Alpha co-star Alia Bhatt is like “being in a masterclass for acting” also adds, “To be in the same universe as Shah Rukh Khan Khan, Jr NTR, Hrithik Roshan, Salman, Deepika Padukone is BIGGEST…”
When asked about Alpha by the media, Sharvari flashed her million-dollar smile and said, “The prep for Alpha is mazedaar. Alpha is a film led by two females. It’s like breaking a glass ceiling. For the first time, you’ll see two females headlining a film in a universe where you have seen the biggest of superstars. To be in the same universe as Shah Rukh Khan sir, Jr NTR sir, Hrithik sir, Salman sir, Deepika ma’am etc. is the biggest blessing. I’ll keep my head down, focus and work really, really hard as it’s a big deal for me. I’ll hopefully stand up to the level that is expected of me.”
Sharvari was also asked whether she was under pressure and also about working with Alia Bhatt. The actress replied, “I am very happy and grateful to be where I am. Hence, there’s no pressure. Alia is my favourite actor. To be able to work with her is an incredible opportunity. It’s like being in a masterclass for acting. I have got this opportunity and I am getting to use it to the best of my ability because yeh mauka itna jaldi mila hai mujhe in my career. Hence, I must use it. I can’t let it go to waste.”
Alpha marks the directorial debut of Shiv Rawal, who made the acclaimed 2023 web series The Railway Men. It also stars Anil Kapoor in a supporting role and Bobby Deol as the antagonist.
Also present at the Maharaj press conference were actors Junaid Khan, Shalini Pandey and Jaideep Ahlawat along with director Siddharth P Malhotra.
