BJP leader Atul Shah files nomination as an independent candidate from Mumbadevi Assembly constituency for Maharashtra elections after he did not get the election ticket from the constituency.
He says, “There is a reason behind it. I have been representing this area for the past many years and now giving an election ticket to someone else from here -this is not a game of musical chairs, but an election. The party leadership should have considered the winnability and the work done by the candidate. It pains me when this happens after working all 24 hours for the party. The party still has time to change its decision. I am a party loyalist. I appeal to the party leadership to rectify the error when there is still time…”
