MUMBAI: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Sunday said the assembly polls are likely to be held in the second week of November and that a two-phase election would be preferable, reported.
Asked about the progress of seat sharing arrangements within Mahayuti, Shinde said the main criteria are winnability of a party in a seat and the party’s strike rate. He said govt’s Ladki Bahin Yojana has received a tremendous response, with over 1.6 crore women having registered.He also said 1.4 lakh applicants have been accepted for the Yuva Prashikshan Yojana, an internship scheme for unemployed youth.
