First, let’s compare variants and pricing, the Scorpio-N is offered in five variants – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L.The price starts from Rs 8.1 lakh and goes up to 15.5 lakh (both prices Ex-showroom). The Scorpio-N gets four-wheel drive and will be offered on all manual variants from Z4 onwards, for the automatic versions, it will only be available on the higher-spec Z8 and Z8 luxury trims.
Talking about the Alcazar, the SUV is offered in Prestige, Platinum, Prestige(O), Platinum (O), Signature and Signature (O) variants. The price for the Punch starts from Rs 16.7 lakh and goes up to 21.3 lakh (both prices Ex-showroom).
In terms of dimensions, the Alcazar measures 4500 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, 1675 in height and has 2760 mm of wheelbase. The Punch is 4662 mm long, 1917 mm in width, 1857 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2750 mm. The Alcazar gets 200 mm of ground clearance with 579 litres of boot space, the Scorpio-N gets ground clearance of 180 mm and boot space of 480 litres.

Now let’s talk about the powertrain and gearbox. The Alcazar is offered in two engine options – a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine which puts out 115 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque and comes paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Another engine is the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 158 hp of power and 253 Nm of torque. The petrol engine gets two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.
The Scorpio-N gets two engine options- a 2.0 turbo-petrol and a 2.2 diesel, with the latter being in two states of tune. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol puts out 203hp and 370Nm and 380Nm in the manual and automatic variants, respectively. The 2.2 diesel engine, in its lower state of tune, produces 132hp and 300Nm of torque, while in the higher state of tune, it puts out 175hp and 370Nm (manual)/400Nm (automatic).

Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Scorpio-N comes with rear-wheel drive as standard, but the higher-spec diesel variants are also available with a 4×4 system.
