The year 2024 was emotionally challenging for her, as she lost her father, Anil Mehta, in September and ended her relationship with Arjun Kapoor shortly before the tragedy. In a recent interview, she reflected on these experiences and how they shaped her perspective on life.

Malaika Arora explained that her new tattoo, ‘Sabr Shukr’, holds a deep-rooted meaning for her. Speaking to The Times of India, she said the words represent her personal journey, emphasizing patience and gratitude as guiding principles in her life. The tattoo recently caught attention when she flaunted it at a red carpet event.
Malaika Arora revealed that she gets tattoos at significant turning points in her life. Speaking about her latest ink, she said, “I don’t get them just for the sake of it, they have deep personal meaning. This particular one symbolises the year that 2024 has been for me. The words ‘patience’ (sabr) and ‘gratitude’ (shukr) are very comforting. These words resonate with me when I think about where I am now, compared to where I was just a year ago.”
Malaika also stated, “I see tattoos as symbols of memories and thoughts I want to carry with me forever.”
Malaika Arora revealed that she last got inked eight years ago after her divorce from Arbaaz Khan. She shared, “That tattoo shows three birds in flight, marking a new phase in my life.”
Malaika Arora addressed rumors about her linkup with former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara, stating that she is not focused on seeking love right now. She shared, “I’m not focused on that right now. These are things you can’t plan. I’m just grateful for the patience I’ve had, which has helped me reach a better headspace. I wasn’t in a great place before, but I’m in a much better, calmer and happier space now.”
Malaika Arora emphasized that she will never give up on the idea of love, stating that it remains the central driving force in her life.
