MADURAI: Madurai district police booked a man after his bull gored a youth to death near Koodakovil on Tuesday.
V Ramesh, 22, of Eliyarpathi was gored to death by a rogue bull near Sri Villadiyan Karuppasamy Kovil at Eliyarpathi on Tuesday evening while he was walking on a road.
Ramesh, who suffered severe injuries on his chest, was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared that he was brought dead.Based on Ramesh’s father C Vellai’s complaint, Koodakovil police registered a case against the bull owner, B Alagu of Eliyarpathi. Alagu is a relative of Ramesh.
Police said Alagu had caught the bull carelessly and without protection. This led to the bull charging at Ramesh.
Alagu was booked under Section 304 (ii) of the IPC for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
