Massive fire breaks out at Croma showroom in Mumbai’s Link Square Mall | Mumbai News

MUMBAI: A major fire broke out early Tuesday morning at Croma mall located in the basement of Link Square Mall on Linking Road, Bandra (West). The incident was first reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at 4:11 am.

According to officials, the fire was initially classified as a Level I blaze but rapidly escalated. Within minutes, it was upgraded to a Level II fire at 4:28 am, Level III at 4:49 am, and eventually declared a Level IV fire — a major emergency — by 6:25 am.
The fire was confined to the basement showroom area but led to heavy smoke logging across the entire G+3 structure of the mall. Firefighting operations are underway, with three small hose lines and 12 motor pumps in use.
Emergency response teams from BMC’s MFB, Ward Staff, Mumbai Police, Adani Electricity, and the Public Works Department (PWD) are on site. Senior fire officials, including the Chief Fire Officer (CFO), Deputy CFO, Divisional and Assistant Divisional Fire Officers, along with a large fleet of firefighting vehicles and equipment, have been deployed. Two ambulances from 108 Emergency services have also been stationed at the location as a precaution.
Authorities have confirmed that no injuries have been reported so far. Further details on the cause of the fire are awaited.
