Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department’s State Task Force (STF) seized 27.51 grams of MDMA on Friday (March 28, 2025)

The State Task Force (STF) under the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department seized 27.51 grams of MDMA worth ₹1.70 lakh in two separate cases in Hyderabad on Friday (March 28, 2025).
In the first case, Ramzan Sheikh from Andheri, Mumbai, was arrested while he was handing over drugs to two individuals at Nampally Railway Station. MDMA of 24.10 grams was seized. The two customers, identified as Ifran and Anwar, were also arrested.
Investigations revealed that the contraband was transported from Mumbai via Hussainsagar Express.
In another operation, the officials seized 3.39 grams of contraband during a raid in RK Nagar, and arrested peddlers Likhith and Harikrishna. The MDMA was sourced from Bengaluru and was being supplied through a middleman named Swadeep, who was arrested. Further investigations are underway in both the cases.
