Controversies and Melania Trump go hand in hand as the soon-to-be first lady has found herself in the middle of social media speculation for not having tea with the outgoing first lady Jill Biden. In an old clip from a 2018 ABC interview, that has now gone viral with over 3.6 million views, Melania is seen pouring her heart out about her being the subject of bullying. The clip opens with Melania’s hard-hitting remark- “I could say I’m the most bullied person in the world.”
When she was asked the worst thing she had read about herself since she had been in the White House, Melania explained how she was disturbed by rumors about being ‘miserable in her marriage’ and ‘not being happy in the White House’.
“Well, it’s all the things people say that I’m not happy in the White House that I don’t even live there and that I’m miserable in my marriage that I am out of touch, there are so many things. Sometimes people do not say these things on your face, but they are hiding behind their keyboards and that’s the danger,” she shared.
She’s right. Melania Trump is one of the most bullied people in the world. She never got a fair chance with the media. They did her dirty. This time around, we have X. And we can spread her messages and her good deeds. Msm is dead. Drop a heart if you support our Flotus. ❤️❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/rT4TnTmJV3

Melania’s rejection to the invite from current US First Lady Jill Biden for the tea party is not only a break from the tradition but also unusual given that the convention has been followed for decades during transition process.
While the reason for the snub is still not out, multiple media reports have claimed that Mrs Trump may be miffed over FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid in August 2022 in search of classified documents from Donald Trump’s first term.

Melania gets support from netizens
Netizens agreed that Melania indeed was unfairly targeted and faced relentless scrutiny.
“Melania was demonized and targeted in a particularly classless fashion because of her modeling career (by people that would attack you like a rabid cat for saying anything of the kind about a liberal woman). She ended up being one of the most poised, elegant, classy, and temperate first ladies imaginable, and one that doesn’t inject herself into her husband’s office. I’m a huge fan, even though I don’t share 100% of her views,” said a user.

“Melania has also been treated unfairly. She faced relentless scrutiny, far beyond the norm. Remember the media storm over her ‘I Really Don’t Care’ jacket? The narrative twisted her message into something cold and heartless, ignoring her real intention to highlight the mistreatment of immigrant children. The media cast her every move in shadows, granting no grace or understanding. Few public figures have endured such calculated dismissal,” said another user.
“Melania is a classy and tough woman. Looks can be and usually are deceiving. I will always support her and the Trump family,” read an X post.
“She is the best and brightest FLOTUS we have ever had. I can’t wait until she is back,” another post said.
Meanwhile, it is not clear whether Mrs. Trump will shift to the White House with her husband when he assumes office in January next year. During the first term of Donald Trump, it took Mrs Trump several months to move to Washington from Trump Tower in New York.
Mrs Trump gave the tea party a miss at the White House but her husband and Joe Biden held a meeting as part of tradition even as the two leaders indulged in an ugly exchange of words during the election campaign.
