ALIGARH: A minor girl was reportedly raped by an unknown individual in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, said police on Sunday.
Authorities are actively searching for the suspect. ASP civil lines Amrit Jain stated that a team is on the lookout for the accused following the incident.
“A case in this regard has been registered at the Jawan police station under relevant sections of IPC.The accused is currently on the run. We have launched a manhunt to nab the suspect,” ASP said.
The victim has provided her statement and undergone a medical examination. Arrests and charges are expected soon as investigative teams are in action. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
