In just 6 days, Munjya has crossed the Rs. 30 crores mark and that too in style. The film has been collecting quite consistently and that too on the higher side right from the very first day, what with Friday (+Thursday paid previews) bringing in Rs. 4.21 crores and now Wednesday too being ultra stable at Rs. 4.11 crores. This is superb trending which has allowed the film to reach Rs. 32.47 crores, that means an average of over Rs. 5 crores per day.
Now it would be really exciting to see how the film goes over the weekend. Last week, the numbers were excellent when the film grew tremendously to Rs. 7.40 crores on Saturday and then Rs. 8.43 crores on Sunday. If something similar happens this weekend as well then, we could be looking at a potential blockbuster here.
Munjya has emerged as the biggest surprise and success story of 2024 so far. The year has seen over half a dozen mix-budget films doing well in theatres, but this one has the least budget of them all but is now set to be the third highest grosser of the year (so far) after Fighter and Shaitaan.
