NASHIK: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon the youth to come forward and participate in the country’s active politics to reduce the impact of ‘politics of Parivarvad’ (dynastic politics).
Addressing the youth delegates during the inauguration of the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik city on Friday, Modi stressed the need for the youth to actively take part in the democratic process of the country.
“India is the mother of the world’s democracy and the country’s youth must be a part of it. There are many ways that the youth can take part in democratic process. One such way is to take part in active politics. And when youth participate in active politics, it will diminish the influence of Parivarwad politics (dynastic politics) in our country,” said PM.
According to him, dynastic politics in India have done immense harm to the country. Modi said that the other way to be active in the country’s democratic process. And that is to exercise once franchise in the country’s elections.
“There are many of the youth who will be casting their votes for the first time in the forthcoming elections in the country. Such youth must complete the enrolment of their names in the voters list so that they can vote for the better future of the country.
He reminded the youth that the next 25 years is not only Amrit Kaal for them but is also a time for Kartavya Kaal for them. “It is imperative for the youth to give top priority to their duties and responsibilities for the development of the society and the nation,” he said.
Earlier after arriving in Nashik city, Modi accompanied by the state CM, Eknath Shinde and the two DCMs, Devendra Fadnavis, took part in a road show. Later Modi reformed religious rituals at Goda Ghat—the banks of river Godavari in Nashik city where Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman had spent few years of their 14 years of exile. He also performed puja at Shree Kalaram Mandir, which is near Goda Ghat.
