Spain, a NATO member and EU nation, has toughened its stance against Israel’s actions in Gaza by canceling an ammunition contract with an Israeli company. The Guardia Civil had agreed to purchase over 15 million 9-mm rounds from Guardian Ltd. Israel for €6 million, a deal awarded on October 21. However, Spain’s Interior Ministry has initiated an administrative process to void this purchase, reaffirming the government’s opposition to arms sales to Israel. Spain has emerged as one of the EU’s strongest critics of Israel’s military actions in Gaza and Lebanon.
