Nepal squad for AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers — Sabitra Bhandari, Anjila Subba looks to shine

Nepal will look to qualify for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup for the first time as it starts its qualification campaign next week.

The team, under Belgian head coach Patrick De Wilde, will play Uzbekistan, Laos and Sri Lanka in its group, with the winner qualifying for the final tournament, set to be played in Australia next year.

All matches will be played at the Do’stlik Stadium in Tashket, Uzbekistan

Nepal has qualified thrice for the Asian Cup, making group-stage exits in each of the editions. Its last Asian Cup appearance was in 1999.
