New Honda Amaze on-road prices in top cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and more

Honda Cars India recently launched the new Honda Amaze sedan in the Indian market. The sub-compact sedan in its third generation features a distinctive exterior design, a new interior, additional features, added safety and more. It’s offered in three variants – V, VX, and ZX. The prices start from Rs 7.99 lakh and go up to Rs 10.89 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Do note that the prices are introductory and will be valid for 45 days from today. The new Amaze will continue its direct competition with the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The new Amaze will also go up against the Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.
In this article, let’s look at the on-road prices of the new Honda Amaze in the top 10 cities in India. On-road prices mentioned below are for the top-of-the-line ZX CVT.

New Honda Amaze

Let’s start with Bengaluru, the on-road price for the top-of-the-line variant of the Honda Amaze is Rs 13.4 lakh. In Delhi the sedan costs 12.6 lakh, in Mumbai it costs Rs 13 lakh, in Chennai it costs Rs 13.5 lakh, in Hyderabad the Amaze costs Rs 13.4 lakh, in Kolkata it costs 12.2 lakh, in Lucknow it costs 12.65 lakh, in Jaipur the sedan costs 12.7 lakh, in Ahmedabad the sedan costs 12.2 lakh and in Indore, the sedan costs 12.65 lakh (All prices mentioned here are on-road, please note that the prices are gathered from local dealers and prices might vary a little).
In terms of design, the new Amaze features a large and upright grille and gets twin pod projector headlights. Below, it features a simple and neat bumper design with projector fog lamps. On the side, it looks similar to the outgoing car and gets newly designed 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped up in 185-section tyres. Notably, the wing mirror placement has moved from the pillar to the door. The grille of the sedan features a hexagonal pattern and it’s a bit shallow and sharp looking when compared to the SUV. The lower bumper consists of a fog lamp and a central air dam which looks similar to the City.
At the rear, the new Amaze looks very similar to the City. The tail lamps, boot lid design, and rear bumpers closely resemble those of the City, maintaining a similar family look. Other exterior highlights will include LED headlights, Z-shaped LED taillights, a shark fin antenna and a chrome strip above the grille that runs across the bonnet. The new Amaze has been designed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific centre in Thailand and overall, the new Amaze seems to have taken inspiration from the Elevate and Honda City.

Moving inside, the overall interior layout looks similar to the Elevate. The sedan features a 10.25-inch free-standing infotainment system with a digital cluster. Other features include automatic climate control, a 6-speaker sound system, rear AC vents, 460 litres of boot space, wireless charger, remote start with AC controls, Honda connect connected car tech with a 5-year free subscription, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, six airbags, ABS, EBD and also sensor-based ADAS system.
The new Amaze will retain the same engine, a 90hp, 110 nm, 1.2-litre, 4-cyl, NA petrol engine with a choice of a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. The CVT auto has claimed a fuel efficiency of 19.46 kmpl and the 5-speed MT has claimed a fuel efficiency of 18.65 kmpl. As standard, the company is offering a warranty of 3 years/unlimited km. Interested customers can book to extend it up to 7 years with unlimited kilometres.
