NEW DELHI: Amid rumors of his return to NDA, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar attended a function alongside BJP leader and Union minister Ashwani Choubey.
Nitish who was accompanied by his colleage and state minister Ashok Choudhary, where he inaugurated beautification project of Baba Brahmeshwar Nath temple in Brahmpur, Bihar.
Although, the project was under state tourism department headed by Deputy chief minister and RJD leader Tejashwi yadav who apparently skipped the event.
Tejashwi yadav also missed high tea ceremony which is organised every year at the Raj Bhavan in Patna, on the occasion of Republic Day.
After offering puja Nitish kumar left immediately for Patna.
Union minister Ahwani Kumar Choubey, did not gave much information when asked about his presence. Choubey who is also Lok Sabha MP from Buxar added, “When I contested Lok Sabha polls from Buxar for the first time, I had come to this temple along with the CM. This time also I was present here when the chief minister came for the inauguration. There is nothing to comment on this”.
In July 2022, Kumar laid the foundation stone for the beautification project at the Baba Brahmeshwar Nath temple complex, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees visit the shrine to offer prayers, particularly during the Falgun and Shravan months.
There has been a longstanding demand from the local community to rename the Raghunathpur railway station in Brahmpur division after Baba Brahmeshwar Nath.
