6.02pm: Ryan Rickelton leads his team-mates from the field, after a brilliant knock set the home side up in this Test. Rickelton’s 259 was the joint-seventh highest individual score for South Africa in Tests, and enabled them to pass 600, with help from Kyle Verreynne, who made his fourth ton in the format, and some lower-order humpty from Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj. Jansen and Kagiso Rabada then helped reduce Pakistan to 20 for 3 (effectively four down in the absence of Saim Ayub), although they found some belated resistance from Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan to see them to the close. They are up against it, as well as under the Table, with three days in this Test to come. Danyal’s report should be in shortly, and we’ll have more to come from the ground. From myself and Rvel, it’s goodnight and good luck. Thanks for your comments, we’ll be back for more tomorrow. Bye!
