NEW DELHI: In yet another instance of cross-border tensions, the Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire agreement by firing at Indian positions across the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday. The firing started in the Krishna Ghati (KG) sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, news agency ANI reported.
The Pakistani side opened unprovoked fire, prompting a swift and strong retaliation from the Indian Army. The Nangi Tekri Battalion, operating under the Krishna Ghati Brigade, engaged in retaliatory action to counter the ceasefire violation.
More details on the incident are awaited.
