Birthday wishes are pouring in for actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh. Joining the bandwagon was his Chamkila co-star Parineeti Chopra. The duo, set to share the screen in Imtiaz Ali’s much-anticipated film Chamkila, has been garnering attention, and Parineeti’s recent post has only heightened the excitement among fans.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Parineeti shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) photo from the sets of Chamkila as she extended warm birthday wishes to Diljit Dosanjh. In the snapshot, both actors were seen in their character getup, offering a sneak peek into the film’s ambiance. Diljit was seen in short hair and traditional off-white attire while holding a musical instrument. On the other hand, Parineeti looked endearing in a checkered kurta paired with a black salwar. Expressing her fondness for Diljit, Parineeti captioned the post, “Mera yaara, mera pyaara, mera CHAMKILA! Happpy bday ji .. Wish you happiness and good health forever. I miss us singing together! And I cannot wait to show the world what we have created in #Chamkila. The MUSIC, the magic.”
As soon as she shared the post, fans poured in their love for Diljit in comments section. A user wrote, “Can’t waitttt,” while another comment read, “This duo.”
For the unversed, directed by Imtiaz Ali, the upcoming film presents the untold true story of Punjab’s original rockstar of the masses, Amar Singh Chamkila. He rose to the heights of popularity in the 80s due to the sheer power of his music, angering many on the way, which finally led to his assassination at a young age of 27.
