The music success party of the upcoming Pintu Ki Pappi was held in Mumbai and was a star-studded affair. While Akshay Kumar graced the trailer launch, the event, which was held on March 10, had Ajay Devgn and Rekha as the chief guests. Himesh Reshammiya and Udit Narayan, who sang songs for the film, also made their presence felt. As expected, Udit Narayan stole the show.

Udit Narayan has been in the news of late for his video where he can be seen kissing his female fans. On top of it, the film’s title has a kiss connection. Hence, the team members joked about it and Udit Narayan also took it in his stride.
Pintu Ki Pappi’s producer Ganesh Acharya began the banter by saying, “Ek pappi humein bhi de dijiye!” Sunil Pal then took the mic and said, “We have often heard that Ganesh Masterji gives a chance to new talent. Well, he has given a chance to old talent as well. He has given me a chance. I have a small role in this film.” He further said, “Pintu Ki Pappi mein Udit ji aa gaye! The sequel to this film can be called Udit Ki Pappi!”
Udit Narayan laughed at the jokes and then stated, “I congratulate Ganesh ji. Kya title rakha hai inhone (laughs). He should change the title to Udit Ki Pappi! It’s a coincidence that the music has been released right now (when he’s in the news for his kissing episode). By the way, it’s a two-year-old video from Australia.”
He also said, “I am glad that I get so much love from people that aaj bhi aapka Udit Narayan gaa raha hai.” Udit Narayan then sang the song ‘Ishq Karo’.
The star cast of Pintu Ki Pappi, Shushant Thamke, Jaanya Joshi and Viidhi, producer Vidhi Acharya and director Shiv Hare were also present at the success party. The film releases in cinemas on March 21.
