NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the last sitting of the 17th Lok Sabha before the general elections, which will likely be held in April-May.
Highlighting the achievements of the past 5 years, PM Modi said the government had fulfilled many dreams that had been languishing for generations.
“The country has moved towards big changes at a fast pace and all members of the House made an important contribution.Such works were completed for which people had waited for centuries,” the PM said in the final session before the Lok Sabha polls.

  • These five years were about reform, perform and transform in the country. It is very rare that both reform and perform take place and we can see transformation right in front of our eyes … The country is experiencing this through the 17th Lok Sabha and I firmly believe that the country will continue to bless the 17th Lok Sabha.
  • 17th Lok Sabha has 97% productivity, it was over 100% in seven sessions.
  • I am confident that as we conclude the 17th Lok Sabha, we will transition into the 18th Lok Sabha with a resolution to achieve more than 100% productivity.

Today, we are satisfied that we have brought social justice to the people of Jammu & Kashmir in line with our commitment to social justice.   • The next 25 years is very important for our country. Political activities have their place but the aspirations, expectations, dreams and resolve of the country is that these 25 years are something in which country will achieve the desired results.
