Here’s what PM said during the event:
- “Another round of ‘
Sadasyata Abhiyan ‘ is beginning today. From Bharatiya Jana Sangh till now, we have made all possible efforts to bring a new political culture in the country,” said PM said. - BJP is the only party which is expanding its work by strictly following the democratic processes as per the constitution of its party and is continuously making itself capable to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the common people, he said.
- “The organisation or political party through which people gives power, that unit, that organisation, that party… if it doesn’t follow democratic values, if
internal democracy doesn’t live in it, then situation arises which is faced by several other political parties today,” saysPM Modi while addressing the event in Delhi. - What happens when parties don’t follow internal democracy is something that can be seen in many parties, said PM Modi.
- When I was not in politics, during the Jansangh era, workers used to paint lamps on walls with great enthusiasm. Many leaders of political parties used to take a dig in their speeches that one cannot reach the corridors of power by painting lamps on walls! We are those people who painted lotus on the walls with devotion because we believed that the lotus painted on the walls will someday get painted on hearts as well, the PM said.
- Even today, in some states, BJP workers live the same life and fight for their ideals. It was said about our workers that one of his feet is on the railway and the other is in the jail.In the train because… BJP workers used to travel continuously, travel and fight against those in power to solve the problems of society… hence sometimes in jail, sometimes outside… this was the condition, he said.
