Post discharge from military, Lee Tae-hwan returns with rom-com ‘DNA Lover’ alongside Choi Si-won and Jung In-sun

In a much-anticipated return to the small screen, actor Lee Tae-hwan is set to grace the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy, ‘DNA Lover’, as reported by Seoul Economic Star on January 24. The drama, penned by Jung Soo-mi and directed by Sung Chi-wook, promises a delightful narrative centered around Han So-jin, a genetic researcher facing a series of romantic misfortunes, who discovers the intriguing role of genetics in shaping her destiny.
Director Sung Chi-wook, acclaimed for his work on dramas like ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Kairos’, collaborates with the talented writer Jung Soo-mi, known for her contribution to ‘Born Again’, to bring ‘DNA Lover’ to life. The drama has already garnered attention with the confirmation of Choi Si-won and Jung In-sun as part of its stellar cast. Lee Tae-hwan, who gained prominence since his debut in 2013 with ‘After School: Lucky or Not’, is all set to take on the role of Seo Kang-hoon, a charismatic firefighter embroiled in a love triangle with the lead characters, Han So-jin (Jung In-sun) and Shim Yeon-woo (Choi Si-won).
Known for his versatile performances in hit dramas such as ‘High School King of Savvy’, ‘Pride And Prejudice’, ‘W’, ‘My Golden Life’, ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’, and ‘Thirty Nine’, Lee Tae-hwan has carved a niche for himself in the Korean entertainment industry.
Having enlisted in June 2022, Lee Tae-hwan completed his military service in December last year. With his return to the screen in ‘DNA Lover’, fans are eagerly anticipating his dynamic portrayal in this romantic comedy, adding yet another noteworthy chapter to his impressive acting repertoire.
