Priyanka Chopra, who was in Mumbai in August to attend the ‘Roka’ ceremony of brother Siddharth Chopra and actress-model Neelam Upadhyaya, has excitedly returned to the city to rejoice their wedding festivities now. Earlier this week, the actress took to her social media to express her happiness over meeting her family and also giving her social media followers a glimpse into the marriage preps. Now, her mother Dr. Madhu Chopra has revealed how the Chopra family has kicked off the wedding ceremonies of Siddharth.

Taking to her Instagram page. Dr. Madhu Chopra shared a video which featured montages from the Mata Ki Chowki ceremony which was organized at their residence in Mumbai, ahead of starting other wedding functions. The pooja was a low-key affair with only close family members attending the same. Going by the video, it seems that the house was decorated with flowers, with idols of Goddess Durga, Lord Ganpati placed in the center of their home. Mrs. Chopra shared glimpses of the aarti and other moments from the pooja including a sneak peek into the traditional look of Priyanka Chopra. She captioned it saying, “A divine start to the wedding festivities! May Mata Rani bless the couple @siddharthchopra89 @neelamupadhyaya with happiness, love, and prosperity… Blessed to have family and friends around for this auspicious start”.
On Tuesday, the family members kicked off this pooja, followed by the Mehendi ceremony at Neelam’s residence. On Wednesday, it seems that the two families came together to celebrate the Haldi ceremony of Siddharth and Neelam.
Meanwhile, actress Priyanka Chopra is said to have flown down to India to kick off her next film SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli. However, it has been learnt that the actress has taken a break from the same, in order to celebrate her brother’s wedding and is expected to fly back to join the team for the SSMB29 shoot schedule, after the festivities. Apart from this highly-ambitious entertainer, PC also has Hollywood ventures like Citadel Season 2, The Bluff, and Heads of State in the pipeline.
